We wish to acknowledge the Peramangk people as the traditional custodians of the land where greater Mount Barker stands today, and we pay our respects to their Elders, past and present. We further acknowledge that for thousands of years this landscape has been inscribed and overlaid with human narratives, of which the stories on this site are only some of the most recent manifestations.
